How to introduce PureGnaw safely
Follow these three steps for a safe and satisfying chew session.
Choose the right size
Match the chew size to your dog's weight. A chew that's too small can become a choking hazard; a chew that's too large can frustrate smaller breeds. When in doubt, go up a size.
Introduce gradually
For first-time chewers, start with 15–20 minute sessions. This lets your dog's digestive system adjust and helps you observe their chewing style before longer sessions.
Know when to take it away
When the chew gets small enough to fit entirely in your dog's mouth, remove it and discard it. This is the single most important safety step with any firm chew.
